Hi!
I’m Dan Caco and I have been involved with hockey all my life,
from playing in Minor Rep Hockey Organizations to a try out with the
Minnesota North Stars in 79’ to coaching pro hockey with the Hamilton
Bulldogs for two and a half seasons.
My
involvement with Hamilton Bulldogs has given me a wide range of
experience from hockey plays, drills, breaking down tapes and especially
an understanding with the player’s on a 1 to 1 basis. I have enjoyed the
experience and being part of the organization was easy to settle in due
to the encouragement and respect of my family, the Bulldogs staff, and
players.
With
Steel City Hockey School, I continue to teach Tyke to Pro age players the
development of hockey skills through high tempo technical drills and
strategies. I am constantly developing new drills and technical
strategies in order to develop the players and their understanding of the
game. I expanded this program in 1998 to include defensive tactics,
shooting and contact development.
I
also developed a summer hockey league by request of a large group of
supportive parents. This league was developed with the volunteer coaching
staff’s understanding that the players would be using this hockey league
as a developmental program. Players are encouraged to try new positions
and practice the technical strategies taught in the school.
We
have grown in our Summer League to well over 1200 players ranging in age from
5 to 65. This includes kid’s leagues, 5-17, Jr. Elite League 15-21, and
Men's and Women's leagues. Please consider summer hockey this year. You
won’t regret it.

Teach using high tempo drills…
The drills used are all related to situations
that do occur during a game which are explained to the players
which not only helps develop there own skills but also gives them a
better understanding of the game.
